Aparthotel Siesta

Reception shuts at 11pm, so late arrivals need to call a number, but it’s a straightforward setup and they speak good English. There’s water at reception, decent WiFi, and handy parking around the corner that can fit cars and vans. The room and shower were nice too. A pretty decent stay, close to lots of bars and places to eat.

We arrived late because of our flight, and the receptionist welcomed us with a map. They explained useful areas, like where to find breakfast food, asked where we planned to go, and marked places on the map. It was really informative and appreciated. The rooms were clean and tidy, and the location was central, just a short walk from the main square. The street was quiet and clean, with lovely views of the tall buildings around us. The floors creaked, and as a light sleeper I woke now and then when people walked around at night, but it didn’t spoil the stay. I’d definitely return. I’m already looking at another trip to this beautiful city.

The reception staff were very helpful, and the rooms were clean, though dated. Our view was a brick wall about 3 metres away, and they only clean or replace towels and linen if you ask. The building has several floors and no lift. It’s easy to walk to the main square, castle, cathedral and Jewish quarter. We also booked breakfast, but it’s served at a hotel about 1/2 km away, which wasn’t ideal.

A basic place with beds, bathroom, kettle and cups, plus a TV I didn’t use. They even provided a British plug in the room. Free WiFi could be a bit quicker, though the good 4G signal helped. The room was very large, right in the old town centre, and a decent price. Staff were friendly and helpful.
