The staff were kind and answered all our questions about the city. They’ll also print boarding passes for free if you need them. Breakfast was included and very basic, but enough. We had a private ensuite room with four beds; the bathroom was quite small, and the sheets could have been cleaner, though it wasn’t a big issue. For the price, this hostel is very good.

The trams outside made a steady noise, and some of the beds were quite uncomfortable. Still, I liked the place overall. It was the cheapest hostel I found, close to the river and city center, with grocery shops less than three minutes away. Reception was open 24 hours, and staff were friendly, though that varied. Breakfast was about as basic as it gets: bread, cheese, jam, tea and coffee. There were over five shower rooms, but the floors were sometimes wet, and I had to look around for a mop after showering. The hostel was cleaned once a day, which felt really unhygienic for around five rooms with about nine people in each. Also, the toilet by reception smelled of pee.

Some of the beds were really uncomfortable, but I’d still happily return if I visit Krakow again. It’s an affordable, well-kept hostel, and the cleaning staff work incredibly hard. The free breakfast is a nice bonus.

The location near the castle and old town is great. Service was neither cold nor especially warm. Some people may not like staying in an old building, and I’ve seen reviews mention somewhat messy toilets. Still, with breakfast included, you get more than you’d expect for the price, which is why I gave it five stars.

The staff were friendly and spoke English, and the hostel is close to Krakow's Jewish quarter with good tram and bus connections. Trams 14, 22, and 59 can take you where you need to go. I spent four nights there in a small room with four other people. The room was fairly clean, and the bed was decent. It had its own bathroom, shared among five people. Wi-Fi worked, though not in every corner of the building. Breakfast wasn’t much to write home about: toast, cereal with milk, marmalade, and soft cheese. The price is pretty appealing, though. Staff can’t control people snoring, but they could ask people outside the rooms to keep it down after 10.
