Berry Apartments II

We slept wonderfully: the bed was large and comfortable, and the blackout curtains helped. The decor was pleasant, cozy, and warm. The kitchen had a fridge, microwave, and basic tableware. For the excellent central location, we thought it was great value. It’s quiet despite being right in the centre, surrounded by shops, restaurants, and tram stops, just a few minutes from the Market Square. The balcony was one of our reasons for choosing the apartment, but we couldn’t get out there because the key to the balcony door had apparently been "recently" lost by an earlier tenant. From other comments, that "recently" seems to have lasted at least three months without being fixed. The owner doesn’t mention the lack of balcony access when booking, even though it may affect the rental price. The bathroom heater was very noisy and kept switching on, and there were no hooks for towels or clothes. There were no signs for the apartment, so it was a little hard to find. Luckily the owner answered the phone right away. It’s worrying to think what would have happened if he’d been out of range.

A disaster, I wouldn’t recommend it. The rooms smelled musty, and the cleanliness they boast about had nothing to do with being clean. What we found on arrival didn’t quite match the photos. The location was the only plus.

The only good thing is the excellent location. The apartment itself is cold and gloomy, there are ants in the kitchen, and it has no toilet seat.
