The breakfast was great, with plenty of options. We also had a small balcony with a nice view of the Vistula river. But the room was much smaller than it looked online, with old but clean furnishings, a tiny shower cabin, and thin walls. We heard everything next door, even someone using a hairdryer at 7:30 am. The bed was narrow, about 140 cm for two adults. We were confused because Blue swan hostel shares its entrance and reception with the 5-star Niebieski Hotel, but has its own small staircase and no elevator. Our double room booking included a sofa, and the room in the listing looked spacious, see my screenshot, but what we got was totally different. The booking also mentioned a fitness room. That’s only for guests of the 5-star Niebieskie Art and Spa hotel, though we were allowed to look inside and it was very small. We were surprised that the standard double room in the 5-star hotel and the one we booked cost pretty much the same :)))

The room didn’t quite live up to my expectations. It was kind of small, and the bed cover was a bit torn in places. Looking at the hotel, you’d expect a great modern style, but the rooms felt a bit meh. The location was okay, around a 15-minute walk to the city centre, with views of Wisła and Wawel Castle along the way. For me, breakfast was the best part of the stay, with a huge choice of food and drinks, including healthy, unprocessed options.

The staff were very friendly, and the breakfast was great, with even better views. I still recommend the place. Just be aware that my single room was sold as a double, the fridge was empty, and there was only one towel in the bathroom.

The rooms are dated, but they do the job. It’s an affordable, okay hotel a little way from the centre, though parking is expensive.
