Cat Hostel Krakow

This place is small and extremely budget friendly, and the minor drawbacks are easy to overlook at that price. It worked perfectly for my overnight stop in Krakow: I arrived at 23.50 and left at 6.00 to catch a train. The showers were clean and had hot water, and the bedding was clean too. There was tea and coffe, a basic kitchen, and free wifi. Remember to bring your own towel and toiletries. I’d recommend it for anyone in the same situation.

The hostel felt like home, with a great atmosphere and a central location. The beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was quite good.

A really bad hostel. I’d look elsewhere if you can. I’d booked two nights two weeks ahead, but when I arrived, the receptionist said there wasn’t a place for me. I had to wait and explain, then show my confirmation. The worst part came after that: my room was shared with eight people, which is normal in a hostel, but it was disgusting. It clearly hadn’t been cleaned in a while and smelled of dirt and sweat. There wasn’t enough space for luggage either, it seemed set up for four people, not eight. It felt overcrowded.

Keep your expectations in check, this is a hostel focused on value. Even with some shortcomings, it’s still a good option for a short stay.
