Dream Hostel Apartments

It was clean, with daily cleaning, decent beds and room, a usable kitchen, friendly reception, and an okay price. It wasn't crowded, either. Still, it only just covers the basics and doesn't really feel like a proper hostel. Wi-Fi could be better, and there was noise and light from the street. I had to leave the window open at night. The place needs renovation.

We were there for three nights. The hostel is in a very good location, and our room was clean, though the building seemed a bit run down. I can't be certain, but I worry there may be bed bugs: we woke up with bites all over, and they all looked alike. I raised it at reception. They said they'd checked and that there were insects that looked like bed bugs, but didn't say more. I don't trust that response. I feel I have to take serious precautions at my own expense before going home. I find the lack of seriousness very concerning, especially if they already knew about it.

The room and shared space were clean, and the Wi-Fi was good. We could walk to most of the places and monuments we wanted to see. There wasn't a balcony in the room, but the common area opened onto one. The mattress was particularly bad, very old and thin, with almost no support. The pillows were nearly nonexistent.

I was in a mixed dorm. At about 6 in the morning, a man came over to my bed, woke me up, and sat down on it. Then he kissed me. I said no, but he kept telling me it was just a small kiss. Some people in the room woke up, but nobody tried to help. When the front desk opened at 8, I told the staff. They only said, “I'm so sorry for you.” I told them they should kick him out. They replied that he was drunk and would still be drunk if they woke him, so he wouldn't understand what was happening. I'm so angry that this happened, that the person who did it could keep sleeping as if nothing had happened, and that I was the one who had to leave.
