The Wi-Fi was the one real problem for me. I needed it for laptop work and tried to stream shows since the TV had nothing in English, but the connection was awful. Otherwise, my three nights at Hotel Europejski were comfortable. The room had plenty of space, with a desk, sofa, coffee table, fridge, and kettle with instant coffee, and the staff were very nice. I also thought the breakfast buffet was fantastic, with cheeses, breads, pastries, meats, scrambled eggs, juices, coffee, and more. It wasn't an American-style spread with pancakes, waffles, bacon, sausage, and hash browns, but I wouldn't expect that 5,000 miles away. The decor felt old-fashioned, like a grandma's house, though I found it comfortable and hadn't expected something sleek and modern. The location was good and the price fair. Reviews are funny that way: one person's dated is another person's stylish, and people can have completely different opinions about breakfast.

I keep coming back to this place when I'm in Kraków. Being near the station, the old town, and both tram and bus stops makes getting around easy. I like its rustic character and tend to prefer historic hotels. Modern chains like Mchotels feel sterile to me, a bit like McDonald's: consistent, but boring. The staff are always pleasant and speak English.

The buffet breakfast was good value at 60 zloty, and the staff were very friendly. It's a rather dated three-star place, with no luxury to expect, but my old-fashioned room did have a fridge and air conditioning. It worked out fine for two or three nights, especially if you're coming in by train or bus.

The staff deserve a lot of credit. They were attentive, communicative, and so helpful with my little dog that I felt completely safe leaving her at the hotel for a couple of hours each day while I went to dance lessons. I visited Krakow for a dance festival in December 2024, and the excellent room and perfect location were also a big part of a lovely stay. I'll definitely come back.

The rooms were warm and very comfortable in winter, and everything was clean. It's an affordable place with an authentic rustic feel. I'd stay here again.
