The room was often cold, the bed was uncomfortable, and the shower worked when it felt like it. It took ages for the water to heat up. The curtains didn't fit the windows or block out the light, and sockets were hanging loose from the walls, which felt completely unsafe. The whole place looked very run-down and dreary, inside and out. We were put on the very top floor near the far end of the hotel, and it felt like we were tucked out of the way. A couple of nights were noisy because of other guests. At arrival we didn't feel welcome. Staff said they didn't speak English, which I question in a hotel, and when we asked about restaurants, they didn't know. We had to find places ourselves on Google. We also asked about the hotel restaurant and for a menu, but were just shown a QR code leading to a Facebook page with no useful information that didn't seem to be updated often. We couldn't find the restaurant using the hotel's signs either. No one could help with public transport to the old town, so we used Bolt, which was reasonably cheap. I have worked in hospitality for over 20 years, and I believe our job is to help customers. If we don't know an answer, we find out. They say you get what you pay for, but we didn't even get that. If I'd had money to spare, I would have booked somewhere else, but we were on a budget and couldn't risk not getting a refund.

The bed was comfortable and the room clean, but the blackout curtains didn't cover the whole window, so I kept having to pull them around to block the street view. I was there for two nights. On the second, a big group started partying on my floor around 9:45 PM. I had an early start and wanted to sleep, but the music and drunken shouting made that impossible. Reception told me that in Poland loud parties count as a disturbance after 10 PM, and that they'd call the police only if it continued past then. The music went off around 10:15 PM, though people were still making plenty of noise. The whole place felt like a university dorm, which isn't what I expected from a two-star hotel.

Don't let the outside put you off. It looks a bit scary, and I believe the building used to be some sort of hospital, but inside it's fine and clean. The rooms are basic but clean, the beds are good, and the staff are generally very friendly and willing to help. At 15 quid a night, you're not getting five-star luxury anywhere in the world. The only noise I heard was the odd guest mumbling as they walked past at night, which isn't the hotel's fault. There are a couple of useful supermarkets nearby and a small bar. The bus stop is right outside, and the tram is about a 10-minute walk away. Both are frequent and cheap. A taxi from the airport is about 50 zlottys, while public transport gets you there for around 8zl. Take my advice and you should be fine.

We came in midsummer, but the rooms seemed set up for winter, with thick sheets and no A/C. People nearby were screaming until morning, and the emergency exits were closed, which felt very unsafe. It was a terrible night. I don't recommend it.

The parking could be improved, and the white light bulbs in the rooms take away their cozy feel.
