Golden Lion Apartaments

The location is wonderful for getting around, just off the main square and almost inside a big park. Everything is nearby, and the local shopping mall is a 15-minute walk. The receptionist was really friendly and helpful. I had a great bathroom, and my room was opposite a shared kitchen with everything needed to store and cook fresh food. For a solo traveler or a couple, it's perfect. It may suit people aged 18-35 better since it's in a bit of a party area. The street noise was the one personal drawback, but otherwise I'd call it a total 9/10 if you're after a traditional, homely place. I'd definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

The rooms facing the street sit right above a discotheque playing Polish trash music until 3pm, even on a Wednesday. We could hear voices, people fighting outside later, and the cleaning truck around 5. There's no air conditioning, so you either hear it all even louder or suffer the heat. The shower only has one setting and it's a bit too warm. Simply hell. We'd booked a superior room, but were told on arrival it wasn't available, so we took a twin room. It was clean, but the beds were only 80cm wide and I could feel every spring in the mattress. Only recommended for masochists. Everyone else, stay away.

Awesome host, full of historical passion. The place is cheap and basic, but perfectly positioned for getting around the city. The good quality windows also cut down the noise. Awesome!

The apartment had two rooms, a living room and a private bathroom, and was perfectly adequate. The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable, though the furniture was a little old-fashioned. Guests can use two furnished kitchens. It's near the old city center and close to the main monuments, museums, palaces and places to see, with supermarkets all around and the train station not too far away. There was no air conditioning, and it was hot that night. The street was also very noisy and lively until late.
