The Secret Garden Hostel

The hostel was spotless, with simple but perfectly adequate bedrooms and showers that worked well. We were welcomed warmly and the staff were very helpful. It’s also about a 20-minute walk from the Old City, which was a real plus for us. Our stay was superb.

A peaceful place to come back to after a day out, especially if you plan to head out after breakfast. We never had trouble sleeping because it was quiet all night, and there’s a little garden right in front where you can rest. The hostel is central enough that we walked to all the sights we wanted to visit; when we needed the tram, the stop nearby made it easy to get here from the main station. Cafés, restaurants, and 24/7 shops are close by, so finding food at any hour wasn’t a problem. The rooms were comfortable, neat, and looked lovely when we arrived. Everything was kept tidy and cleaned regularly. Staff were very nice and spoke excellent English. Breakfast was tasty, generous, and offered plenty of choice. A great option for cheap accommodation.

We expected a hostel, but it felt more like a hotel. The staff were so nice, and we were given a room of a higher standard than the one we booked, at the lower standard’s price, which was a lovely touch. It’s calm and relaxing, with a small garden out front where you can sit in the evening. Thanks, we had a great stay.

We were there for three days, and for such a low price I’d still give it five stars. The bathroom stayed clean, and the staff were nice. Free coffee each morning was a nice bonus. The bed was pretty hard and uncomfortable, and the pillows were huge, so I slept without one since I prefer small pillows.
