The listing photos gave a misleading impression. The host rents out several apartments, and ours was the most basic one. None of them are the same, and the listing didn’t make that clear, so what we got felt deceptive compared with what we’d seen online. After arriving from another continent, we reached the place half an hour before check-in and weren’t even allowed to leave our luggage inside. The host wasn’t accommodating. The location in Krakow is convenient for the city and its main attractions, but it was the only real upside. Inside, the bed was very narrow and uncomfortable for two adults, and the shower holder was broken. Internet barely worked, and the check-out time of 10 in the morning felt unreasonable when check-in wasn’t allowed until 3 in the afternoon. There was no washing machine or dryer, which made the stay less convenient, especially for a longer trip. The bedroom had no air-conditioning, and the small unit in the apartment didn’t cool the space properly, so it was uncomfortable to sleep or relax. Altogether, the poor comfort, missing amenities, ineffective air-conditioning, inflexible host, and misleading listing made for a very disappointing stay.

The short walk to Main Square was handy, and the location was quiet, though the garden view left something to be desired. The apartment had most things needed for self-catering, but we were given only two towels for the whole week, and extra ones cost more. There were plenty of quilts and pillows, but no covers, and the bedding left a lot to be desired. There’s no reception, just a phone number that seems to reach someone off site. I hadn’t realized the apartment was in a building shared with offices and other apartments. The website made it look like a complex of its own.

The apartments themselves are nice, but our evening was soured by the security guard. When we tried to get into the building, we called him. He came over slowly, seeming reluctant to help, and asked for the code. We couldn’t understand him, so he got annoyed, shut the door he’d just opened, and left us to work it out instead of helping. When he saw we still couldn’t get in, he said “oh kurwa,” then helped with the code. I told him I understood that phrase, and he replied, “i’m glad you can kurwa. don’t wake me up again next time like this”. I was left disappointed. Isn’t helping people in the building the guard’s job, or is the job sleeping?

Awful experience. There’s no reception, so you have to call, which is no use if you’re trying to call while roaming. They add a 95 pln cleaning charge and a service fee of 25% of the full booking. What is that service charge for? They bring breakfast, which you’ve already paid for at around £6, and what you get is a bagel filled on only one side, a tasteless croissant, a tiny tablespoon of cereal, an energy drink, and yogurt. You can get much better breakfast and service for £6. All in all, it isn’t worth the time or effort. There are much better, cheaper places nearby. Not recommended.

The staff were rude and tried to tack extra charges onto what we’d already paid. The place is run down, about as far from luxury as you can get, with stained, dirty mattresses, broken window blinds, and hair in the shower. Avoid.
