We had a wonderful 10 days, and the owner was friendly and helpful. The room was comfortable and clean, with fresh towels and bedding, a very comfortable bed, Wi-Fi, a TV, a kettle, mini fridge, cutlery, glasses, and plates. It also had a balcony with chairs, a table, and a small clothes dryer. There’s a shared kitchen, and parking is assigned to the room for an extra fee. The villa is in a great, quiet location, close to restaurants, a pharmacy, shops, and the port, with the beach a pleasant walk away. My husband and I highly recommend it.

It’s right in the center, beside the Polomarket and close to the pier on the bay, though the sea is a bit farther away. The rooms could be cleaner, since there are mosquito marks on the ceiling.

We arrived around 1:00 PM, left our luggage, and went to the beach. When we came back at 3:00 PM, they said the room was still being cleaned and told us to return at 4:00 PM. The receptionist was very strict about her own rules, not the client’s. She had time for everything, but when we asked for fresh towels, she checked how long we’d been staying. I’m sure she’d have had some if we’d asked on or before departure, but that wasn’t the point. The rooms are small and need refreshing, and the pillow was practically like sleeping without one. I’m a high sleeper, so I went to reception smiling and asked for a larger or extra pillow. The answer was clear: “We don’t have any more pillows, everyone has one.” There are spiders all over the rooms, and the balcony is covered in spiders and cobwebs. It’s also unacceptable that hot water is only available in the morning and evening. Around midday and in the afternoon, the water is cold or lukewarm. This level of service and care for 110 to 120 PLN a night? You can’t find prices like that elsewhere, even with meals included!

The room looked fancy, but at about 3x2.75m, or 8.25m², it was tiny and cramped. That doesn’t qualify as a double room, even without counting the hallway, bathroom, and clothes alcove with shelves. Two people couldn’t pass each other. It might work for one night, but our five days there were a disaster. One person had to step into the hallway or sit on the bed to let the other pass. That hallway was only about 2.5 square meters, with the entrance and bathroom doors taking up space when opened inward. The large, comfortable bed was the only plus. The whole space, bathroom included, was about 14-15 square meters. In July 2017, we paid 1550 PLN for five days including parking, with no meals, which comes to 310 PLN a day. The online photos used a wide-angle lens that made the room look much bigger. Don’t trust them. There was a cramped parking lot just outside the windows with constant noise, and a disco just beyond it that opened after 10 PM and shut between 3 and 4 AM. The window had to stay open or we’d have suffocated in the tiny room in midsummer, but then the disco meant no sleep until 4 a.m. On our last night, disco patrons started a fight in the Amor villa parking lot and smashed a car window before the police arrived. I was glad it wasn’t my car and that I was leaving. When we arrived, we had to pay the balance straight away, while our suitcases were still in the hallway, and the receptionist wanted to deal with it as quickly as possible. She offered two rooms and said they were the same size. We unknowingly chose one without a balcony, although the offer was supposed to include one. About an hour or two later, we saw from outside that the other room had a balcony and wasn’t occupied yet, but they refused to move us. When I objected, the receptionist said, “I only work here.” I asked for the owner’s phone number, but she said she wasn’t authorized to provide it. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. The staff probably writes their own good reviews.

The mini-fridge in our room came in handy, and it was cozy and comfortable. The location is convenient, without any narrow streets to squeeze through. You can catch a boat to the Vistula Lagoon from the nearby marina.
