Really great!

The kitchen team deserves real credit. The food was delicious, and they were always ready to help. The rest of the stay was much less positive. There are no kettles or washing machines, and no refrigerators in the rooms. Two small fridges are shared between the first and third floors. Room cleaning seems to happen only after guests leave, when kitchen staff take care of it. You can try to find a vacuum and clean yourself. In my two weeks there, I never saw the halls or stairs being cleaned. Getting to rehabilitation means walking there, with no arranged transport. That could be hard for people who don't walk well, especially in bad weather. We were told my wife and I would have a double bed, but ended up with a single. And although we're adults, the building is locked at 10 PM. As for Mr. W., he knows how to say what you want to hear on the phone or at reception. What actually happens is another matter.

My parents went there for rehabilitation, and both have disabilities. The hotel wasn't suitable for people with limited mobility, and there were no treatments available at the property. They came away unhappy.

The one real plus for us was the location. It's peaceful and a little out of the way, but still only about a 10-minute walk to the center of Kudowa. We stayed for two weeks starting August 1, 2023, and the place felt well past its best. Our room smelled bad, was dusty, and had cobwebs everywhere. The bathroom was tiny, and the toilet and bathroom weren't clean. We had to clean the room ourselves before it was fit to use. The rooms aren't cleaned properly because kitchen staff also have that job. The description mentioned a garden and barbecue area, but the lawn and grill looked neglected. The sauna was being used for storage. Meals were disappointing too. Breakfast and dinner portions were meager: pâté, sausage, a slice of yellow cheese and two slices of poor cold cuts, or a ball of low-quality cottage cheese per person. One platter was shared by four people, with portions strictly divided. There was no coffee at breakfast, or other teas like green or mint. Each person got a cup of "Minka" tea and a jug of boiling water. Lunch wasn't much better. A soup tureen was put out for a table of four, then taken away as soon as everyone had served themselves, refilled, and brought to another table. If you wanted another bowl, you had to be quick. It all felt like penny-pinching. The kitchen staff did their best with what they had. The Sunday yeast cake was amazing, one of the best I've had. Mr. Wiesław runs the resort alone and, as I understand it, controls every penny spent on the kitchen. For me, this place doesn't meet basic standards. It was the worst use of my vacation money, and I can't recommend it.

The best part of our rehabilitation stay from May 31st to June 14th was the kitchen team, especially Mrs. Grażynka, who were kind and helpful. We left Rajski Dom disappointed. The rooms weren't cleaned. When I asked after a week, Mr. Wiesław said, "We'll think about it." Rooms we couldn't get into weren't cleaned either, so we tidied ours ourselves to avoid adding to the kitchen staff's work, since they also clean. There were no spare keys at reception, which made me wonder what would happen if someone fainted. The carpets were dusty, there were moths flying around, and it's better not to look under the bed. People with allergies should avoid this place. The toilets had no handrails for disabled guests. Guests with mobility issues were put on the third floor, while Mr. Wiesław had rooms on the first. The recommendation says a three-story building should have an elevator. The advertised sauna was being used as storage. The barbecue area needed a cleanup too, with cobwebs and trash removed and the grill cleaned. Bring only a small amount of luggage, because carrying it up the stairs is difficult and there's nobody to help. Don't rely on Mr. Wiesław's promises. He promises a lot but delivers nothing, and reacts emotionally and unpleasantly to comments. Kudowa-Zdrój is worth visiting, but I wouldn't recommend Rajski Dom.
