Hotel Verde Montana Wellness & Spa

The restaurant and wellness areas were roomy enough for the hotel, so they didn't feel packed like some of the bigger places in Poland. I visit Polish wellness hotels often and Hotel Verde Montana is one of the best I've tried, thanks to its cleanliness, atmosphere, food, pleasant pools, two large children's playrooms, and location. The floor around the pools is very slippery, though, which was my only drawback. I can't really comment on the reception staff's English since I speak fluent Polish. Restaurant staff do speak English, and I used it with them because many guests are from abroad, including India and Indonesia.

We had a great time in the SPA, and the hotel itself is nice, but three problems during this business trip caused trouble for my colleagues and me. At checkout I was asked to pay extra for something that had already been paid in advance. There was only one SPA charge, but conflicting information held us up for 15 minutes. We also couldn't borrow wine glasses. I was told the hotel policy encourages guests to drink in the restaurant, which felt like another way to make money. And although I called three times beforehand and got three separate confirmations that separate beds were available for every booking, nobody told me the apartment came only with one queen bed. There was no twin-bed option, and even after I spoke with the administrator, no solution was offered.

The massage was the best I've ever had. There's a spa area with a range of options, and the pool area has indoor and outdoor pools plus a jacuzzi. Rooms are well equipped, the service is polite and pleasant, and there's plenty of parking, though it's paid. A lovely place to stay, unwind and swim. Thanks for the warm hospitality and memories 🙂.

The hotel's service was unprofessional and had a real effect on our stay. The food was very good, but the choices were limited, and a couple of times we couldn't find anything we liked. It is well located, just a five-minute walk from Park Zdrojowy. Still, the old residential buildings right across from the hotel played loud music that we could hear in our room after 10 pm. I'd ask for a room facing the courtyard. There are two saunas, but they felt below a four-star standard. No water dispenser was provided, so you had to bring your own drinks, and the wet sauna felt much too cold to me. There wasn't a thermometer, so I can't say exactly how cold. For the steep price, we expected a lot more.
