Hostel Flamingo Lodz

For a budget hostel, it’s pretty good. The location is good, the staff are friendly, and the bathrooms were clean. This is about the room with two single beds: the window was tiny, and with no air circulation the room could get HOT. The skylight had no curtains, so sunlight came in whenever the sun was up. The doors were heavy and squeaked a lot. Also, there was a used condom under the bed. Hm.

We had a queen room with a shared bathroom for 90zł, and it was a great deal. There’s a nice common area, and it’s close to the center. Parking is available nearby, though on weekdays it’s paid from 8am-6pm at 3zł/hour. I’d recommend it to budget travelers.

The customer service was lovely, and there’s a common room where you can have tea or coffee. The rooms are pretty ordinary and the bathrooms were a bit too dirty. If comfort and price matter a lot to you, this is a good place.

There’s no elevator, so you have to walk up 4 levels. Still, the place is very nice and clean, and they even have free cookies. It’s close to 'OFF', with lots of bars, clubs, and restaurants, but the hotel itself stays quiet.
