The booking platform was another headache: its customer service was slow, hard to reach, and not much help, even though I’m Genius Level 3. It took more than two hours and several paid international calls just to get the refund process started. They said by email it would take 7-12 days, and I probably spent about as much on calls as the refund was worth. I’d had a confirmed booking through a major platform, but when I arrived late at night, there was no room. The owner said they’d forgotten to update availability and sent me away. With nowhere else nearby at a reasonable distance, I slept in my car. A horrible experience, and unacceptable from both the hotel and the platform.

The reception looked freshly renovated and welcoming, which made the room even more of a letdown. It smelled of smoke, the duvets were thin, and the single beds brought back summer camp memories, in the bad way. I’ve stayed in a lot of hotels, and this was one of the worst.

After staying in hundreds of hotels for work, I found this stay a huge disappointment. Our room smelled like an ashtray, and I couldn’t tell if it had even been cleaned. Something seems very wrong with this hotel’s Google rating.

Dust was all over the room, and the bathroom shower was really bad. The whole hotel and every room smelled of cigarettes. The bed was awful and felt like somebody had already used it. The sheets and pillowcases smelled like a dishwasher and gave the same impression, as I mentioned. There was no service, and nobody at reception spoke English. Worst hotel of my life. Just horrible, I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone.
