Hotel Chata Za Wsią

The location is worth thinking about before you book. The shortest walk to the center and the park follows a national road without a sidewalk. There are dirt tracks to the park too, but they aren't marked, so finding the right way takes some effort. The name "Chata pod Wsią" (Chat under the Village) does give a clue about where it is. For a short one-day trip, though, the spot can work well. Our room was large, the bed comfortable, and the view of Śnieżka Mountain was lovely. Breakfast had lots of choice and was delicious, especially the pancakes and cake, and the coffee machine was handy. The coffee itself was only average. We also ate at the on-site restaurant, but weren't very impressed with our meal. Service was fine but not especially attentive. At check-in we were just told to go left and upstairs, and it took us a while to find the room. The bathroom was the main letdown: it looked worn, with a yellowed toilet seat and marks on the tiles that could have been dirt or permanent discoloration. The TV remote was visibly dirty too. The hotel has real strengths in its views, spacious rooms, and breakfast, but bathroom condition and cleanliness need attention.

We had a lovely stay and would gladly come back for another chance to play some monkey games. The hotel sits in a quiet area where it was easy to relax, and the rooms were clean and looked after. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the atmosphere and tasty food were real pluses.
