Apartament Residence Nysa

I wouldn't come back. They advertise apartments, but what I got was a room with a kitchenette, nowhere near an apartment for the price per night. The building has a "HOSTEL" sign, while the booking form calls it three-star. The owner doesn't seem to understand Polish three-star standards, since even a hairdryer should be in the bathroom. The standard reminded me of the Trzy Korony mountain hut in the Pieniny Mountains, but that was a hostel with a hostel price. Here it's presented as an apartment at the same price. I had written confirmation of a room with a double bed, but was given one with two singles. My room had gone to someone who checked in earlier, and no other rooms were available. They offered to push the beds together but gave no compensation for the receptionist's mistake. I'd already paid before seeing the room, so I accepted, though it was less convenient. The tiny room was passable for one night, but I wouldn't suggest a longer stay. The floor was dirty, there were cobwebs, and the TV was tiny and didn't work. After 9 PM there was nobody around to fix it. The kitchenette had two mugs, two saucers, a bowl, a soup plate, two spoons, two forks, and two butter knives. No sharp knife, large plates, dishcloth, or spices. I've never seen such sparse supplies. There was no bathroom trash can either. The room was on the lower ground floor, so leaving the window open felt unsafe because someone could easily get in. It looked onto a shack. The neighborhood was unattractive, and I was uneasy going out in the evening because of some scumbags at the liquor store next door. Getting anywhere meant a long drive. There was free parking and the mattresses were comfortable, but that's about it.
