The elevator has reportedly been switched off for over a year to save money, so around midnight after a long journey I had to carry heavy bags up the stairs with an injured foot. We’d booked and paid a deposit for a room for two over the phone, but when we arrived a few weeks later, we were given a tiny room set up for one: one bed, one sheet, one pillow and one towel. The receptionist even said it was very small and told us to come back if we wanted it changed. After hauling our bags up and seeing it, I went back down three floors to ask for the room we’d booked. It was past midnight, and the computer system wouldn’t let them change anything. I had to beg for another pillow, and we didn’t sleep at all before our conference that day. The staff seemed young and lost, while management was the most unprofessional I’ve dealt with. The phone treatment was awful, with no customer service, just rudeness and arrogance. I felt like I was dealing with the Ukrainian mafia. They overbooked the hotel, and I don’t understand why they put us in that room in the first place. A total joke. If you like clown hotels, this place is for you, because clowns run it. I’m sure the hotel will reply saying they did everything they could and are sad and surprised by my negative opinion. They came across as sneaky and sketchy. Stay away. There are cheaper, better places to stay, and it’s sad that a place like this is in business. Evan from Canada

I slept really well in my fourth-floor room, where it was completely quiet. The hotel was spotless, and the staff were friendly. Breakfast had plenty of variety and was delicious. Highly recommended.

The bathroom was clean, the bed was king size, and there were enough parking spaces. Breakfast had a good range of choices. I’ve stayed here twice already. Booking on the website was easy, and I asked for a particular floor because I had a baby and luggage, but the elevator is still out of order.

They made us move to another hotel for the second night, even though we had a two-night reservation at an agreed rate. They don’t keep the promises they make and changed the price.

+ The rooms are modern and nice, and it was good value for money. - The location feels like the middle of nowhere, though there’s public transport and a supermarket nearby. The road outside is dug up and in a horrific state. Walking there in the dark and rain is dangerous, and you and your belongings end up covered in mud. There doesn’t seem to be any work happening, so who knows how long it’ll stay like that. It isn’t the hotel’s fault, but it definitely makes the location less appealing. - Late checkout by two hours cost 60 zł, which felt stingy. Most hotels probably wouldn’t charge, though this place was quite cheap to begin with. - There’s a fire station next door, and they use full-volume sirens, even in the middle of the night. Not constantly, but maybe once a night or so.
