A nice room.

The place feels like staying with an aunt who’s giving you the best she has. It’s unusual, in a good way, and the owners are cooperative. It was clean, really clean. I walked around in socks, and as someone who’s paranoid, I was glad there were hardly any critters. I only saw two mosquitoes, which I’d let in myself. There’s a refrigerator, oven, stove, microwave, and air fryer. One downside is the bedding isn’t breathable, so you might sweat. Some insulation between the mattress and sheets would help. A person was playing music in the kitchen at 5 a.m. and then went to shower, but the owner spoke to him.

The room was spacious, clean, and tidy, and for the price it felt well worth it. The bathroom was large too, with a roomy shower, though it needed sealing because water somehow ended up on the floor. The fan couldn’t keep up with the humidity. The street outside is busy and there’s a cemetery opposite. I was fine with the noise, but my companion was bothered by it. There’s a high curb at the entrance, probably left after road repairs, and the trellises the owner put in mean low cars should take care. Our motorcycles were fine. The parking lot stayed open all night, which wasn’t very convenient for us. We spoke to the landlord by phone and he was friendly and young. When we arrived around 8 PM, an older gentleman handed us the keys after a call, looking like yesterday’s appearance, or really, today’s since it was already evening. He asked how long we’d “agreed” to stay, took the money, then disappeared behind his apartment door. It’s okay for one night, but staying longer is debatable.
