The landlord was so helpful, and the place was cozy. Everything was clean and nice to stay in, and it’s very close to the Tatry Park entrance. I’ll definitely come back. I took off a star because there was no Wi-Fi in my room and no hook for the shower.

For hiking and relaxing in the evening, a place outside the city like this is ideal. The staff were very kind and helpful, and the kitchen was well equipped. The national park entrance is just a few hundred meters away.

Bad. There were two rooms in our booking, and one of them, room 8, seemed not to have been lived in for a while. It was dusty, and the sewer smell was awful. The smell was less noticeable in one room because the emergency drain was sealed. In room 6, the towels smelled like cat urine, and there was no soundproofing. I wouldn’t recommend it. The breakfast buffet ran from 8 to 9 a.m., which is far too early. When we went down, there was nobody there. The salads were from the day before, and the plates on the tables held SUGAR, not salt. The plates were dirty too. There’s also a big bear near the tables that might scare you. It was terrible.

The only real positives were the location and parking. We won’t be back: there was so much information in the offer that didn’t match reality. The promised separate entrance turned out to be one shared entrance with a narrow staircase. The owner didn’t show us the room, just gave us its number and floor and left us to find it. She categorically told us to take our shoes off and go barefoot or find flip-flops in our suitcases, claiming that information was posted everywhere. We checked the property rules, booking form, and the property itself, and it wasn’t there. We had to compare our reservation photos with the actual room because we couldn’t believe what we saw. The deluxe studio with kitchenette was a tiny cubicle without a stove or wardrobe. The owners said a kitchenette meant a sink, a cupboard with glasses and cutlery, and a dirty kettle. There was no coffee machine anywhere on the property, and we couldn’t find a moka pot either. We had nowhere to unpack, so our suitcases stayed on the floor and we had to squeeze between them. The walls were badly boarded and dusty, with no cabinets. A narrow column beside the bed had hangers for only two jackets and a sweatshirt, and there were no shelves. Under the bed was a filthy, dusty drawer I didn’t want to touch. The doors were dirty and polished, and hung so they wouldn’t close properly. The little table was stained, dirty, and sticky. There was a TV and a micro-fridge that worked. I wasn’t impressed by the kettle, so I didn’t touch it. The room wasn’t clean, with hairs in the carpet above the bed. The bed was uncomfortable, and the duvet was as thick as a blanket and definitely too small for two. We got a Wi-Fi password, but there was no internet in the room. In the bathroom, silver tape covered the drain, the shower leaked, and its head holders were broken. At least the hairdryer worked and there was toilet paper.

Our room was warm, with comfortable beds, clean linens, and a double bed. It had a kitchenette and a large bathroom, and the kitchenette was equipped well enough for us to make our own breakfast. My friends had the other room, which had single beds and a very small bathroom. The rooms have Highlander-style décor. The location is excellent for getting onto the trails, and the rooms are reasonably priced. We had good communication with the owner. The smaller room had a few flies killed under the table, and some of the décor was a bit worn. We also missed having clothes hangers in the bathroom and a small basket. Krupówki Street is about a 20-30-minute walk, depending on your pace.
