Hotel Arkas

We only stopped because we were driving for work and needed somewhere late at night. By morning, we were glad we’d found it: the restaurant was lovely, breakfast had lots of tasty options, and there was a cozy courtyard beside a huge park. Our room was older, but still comfortable. It felt at least as good as a three-star place. We didn’t have time for the spa, unfortunately, but now we know where to stay if we’re in the area again.

I haven't stayed overnight, but I've eaten at the restaurant many times. The staff there are attentive and great with customers, and it's always a pleasure to have a meal here. Looking forward to coming back again. Highly recommend it.

Parking is a big plus here. Although the hotel only has room for about 5-8 cars, I could always find a spot close by, even a few steps from the entrance. The area is relaxed, with supermarkets and places to eat nearby, including one very close spot with good people, food, and prices. Arka also felt easier to get in and out of by car than Grand Hotel Felix, and the staff were friendly and casual. I preferred that to the more polished manner at Grand Hotel Felix, especially since its rooms seemed exactly like Arka’s, while costing more and having worse parking and internet. In my opinion, Arka is the better choice, though it can’t accommodate as many guests. The rooms themselves were just okay. The carpet had that usual carpet smell, and they didn’t feel especially clean, though we had no actual problems. The location was great, a little outside Kraków’s center. I also found the room pricing hard to understand. The three-person apartment seemed to be the same as the two-room apartment, with one extra bed but one fewer table and chair, and less space. It cost almost a third more. At night the doors are locked. There are keys on top if you want to go out, but you have to tell an employee so they can let you back in. The employees were friendly, but the arrangement felt strange and awkward, like I needed permission to leave.

The pool and spa were lovely, clean, and really relaxing, with fantastic lighting at night. The whole place was so clean, and the staff were friendly. We all ordered different meals at the restaurant and were happy with them: the food was fabulous, good quality, and great value. Breakfast was continental and had everything you could want. I highly recommend it.
