Soleil Boutique Hotel

Breakfast was freshly prepared each day after the friendly staff asked what time I wanted it, and you can have it in your room too. The location is great, just a few minutes’ walk from the beach and Sopot center. I spent two weekday nights at this very nice little boutique hotel. The rooms are well equipped, with fancy furniture and a different color scheme in each one. My bed was good and I slept really well. The one small drawback was that I couldn’t open a window in my room, so I had to use the air conditioning to adjust the temperature. It worked fine, though.

I’d paid for my full weekend stay at Soleil Boutique Hotel in advance, but a 13-hour flight delay threw everything into chaos. I was dealing with an unresponsive airline late at night at the airport, then just as I arrived and was about to get a taxi and finally sleep, I got a notice that my booking had been canceled as a no-show. It wasn’t refundable either. It was peak season on a weekend, so every hotel in town was full. When I called, the hotel said my reservation was canceled, the room had already been sold, and they had nothing else available. They eventually offered a partial refund, but my trip was ruined. I could only find hotels for one night at a time, had to move every day, and spent much more than I expected. They told me no-show was their policy and they weren’t obliged to refund anything, so I should be grateful they agreed to return some money. What upset me most was their attitude toward guests. There was plenty of time to message or call and ask if I was still coming, and the situation could have been handled much more kindly. I don’t recommend this hotel because of how it treats guests. If they have a chance to make more money elsewhere, they won’t hesitate to ruin your holiday.

For the price, this is very good value. The location beats many five-star hotels, and the service was pleasant. A small boutique hotel, clean and thoughtfully laid out, with comfortable, romantic rooms.

Breakfast was good, and the service was professional and helpful. It’s a modern, very comfortable place to stay and I’d recommend it. My only disappointment was that there wasn’t a desk in the bedroom for working on my laptop.
