Dom Rajka

We’ve visited Rajka twice, once in winter and once in summer, and found it a charming place for a break from city life. The owners have made both houses spacious, well equipped, and thoughtfully decorated, with a distinct atmosphere. The grounds are tidy, with a small playground, grill, and fireplace. The pubs are delicious, and there’s a store nearby. It’s clean and comfortable, as long as you understand a country holiday is different from a stay at the Hilton. In summer, there’s room to spread out with loungers and hammocks, and nobody gets in anyone’s way. You can run barefoot through the dewy meadow in the morning and watch the sun go down behind the mountain peaks at night. Stara Morawa Reservoir is 3 km away, with Wake Park and a guarded swimming area. There are also trails for walking, including Śnieżnik, and the amazing single-track Rudka Loop bike path, which you can ride by electric bike. Winter has its own appeal: a crackling fireplace and mulled wine, then sledding down the same meadow you used in summer. There are several ski lifts to choose from. Everyone was happy, and I recommend it!

Rajka's House is in a peaceful neighborhood, and we were really pleased with our stay. It’s a great place to look up at the night sky. Highly recommend ❗️❗️❗️

We had a great winter holiday here with a group of 10. The cabin is conveniently placed for outings and getting to the ski resorts. Indoors, the fireplace keeps things cozy. The kitchen has the basics, including sharp knives, and two electric hobs, though there’s no oven. It was easy to communicate with the hostess. The information sheets in the house are all in Polish, and around the area people are generally more likely to understand Polish, Czech, or Russian. Thanks, Katarzyna, for having us!

We enjoyed this quiet, tucked-away cottage. It was clean and nicely equipped, and the fireplace warmed the whole house while adding a lovely atmosphere. The person looking after the house was very nice too. In summer, the terrace makes the stay even better, and there’s a place for a bonfire. You also get a view of the Czarna Góra slopes. I recommend it!
