Apartamenty Feniks

The staff were friendly and the room service was satisfactory, but the rooms weren't what we expected. We booked two rooms: the modern deluxe room had no kitchenette, hairdryer, or enough clothes hangers for several people, and it looked unfinished. The standard double did have a kitchenette, but it was only sparsely equipped and there was no dining table. Food was served in the building across the hall. The buffet was okay, though there wasn't much for children. Drinks were included except for water and tea, which cost extra. The whole setup was very different from what I expected and what I was used to here.

The room looked modern and was well furnished, but the ground-floor balcony was a steep, unfenced drop toward the parking lot. It wasn't usable for dogs or small children. Wi-Fi worked only on the first day. There were hardly any German TV channels, and the sound couldn't be turned up much, sometimes it was barely audible. Using the pool was a real turn-off. You had to register a day ahead even when the schedule wasn't full, and the booking gave you just one hour. The buffet was at Baltic Spa, in a space too small for guests from three hotels or apartment buildings. Two fully automatic coffee machines meant a queue. The bread rolls were stale, with only two kinds, and the eggs alternated between fried and scrambled but weren't cooked properly. We got the same fruit yogurt for five days. There was plenty of fresh fruit, which was the one good part. The evening buffet didn't work for vegetarians unless you're happy to eat cold food or salad every night. Last year, at a three-star hotel in Swinemünde, we had live cooking and a great buffet, and could use the pool whenever we wanted. We were very disappointed this time.

We were there for five days in June 2024, and the location was great, near both the promenade and the beach. Our room was large, on the third floor, and had a balcony. The elevator worked, and breakfast in the building across the street was very good. We brought our small dog, for 60 PLN a day, but he didn't even get a treat. Aside from that, I'd recommend the place.

A pleasant little hotel near the sea. I'd definitely recommend it.
