Aparthotel Baltic Spa

For German standards, I'd give this four-star hotel no more than three stars. They only made the bed after we asked reception, and the buffet is tiny. Dinner is even more limited than breakfast, so eating out is probably better since it's cheap too. I mentioned when booking that I'm vegetarian, but at dinner the only warm options were broccoli and potatoes, with no sauce. The restaurant staff speak neither German nor English, which made everything very difficult.

I had a wonderful winter stay and would love to come back. Even then, the hotel was full, so I can only imagine how popular it gets in summer. It's right on the main promenade, among shops, cafes, and restaurants, and close to the beach with pine trees around. The rooms are spacious and extremely clean. Breakfast and dinner were a feast, with lots of meat and fish, pasta, salads, fruit, and soup at dinner. The coffee was generous and very tasty. There's also a bar serving drinks until 10 pm. The spa has a pool, a hot outdoor jacuzzi under the sky and trees, and three saunas: Russian wet, Finnish dry, and a gentle infrared one. Afterward, you can try the cold shower from the overhead bucket, which was exciting and cleverly done. Massages, other spa treatments, and a special infrared solarium are offered too.

The surroundings are great and the location is good. Service was okay and the rooms are nice, though a few details need work, like more lamps, sockets where some supplied devices can actually be plugged in, and internet that stayed stable. Parking is difficult, so reserving a spot ahead may be the best option. Breakfast was okay, but not especially extensive.

Clean, well located, and had everything we needed. They were happy to have our dog too. Breakfast and dinner were okay, and the offer felt fair for the price. I can recommend this hotel.
