Five Seasons Szklarska Poręba

I paid in advance after successfully booking this place through booking.com. When my plans changed, I rescheduled the trip dates and received confirmation from booking.com. Later, someone, either the property or booking.com, cancelled the trip without giving a reason. Now nobody will refund me. The property says they were waiting for me, despite my official cancellation confirmation, and won’t refund me or even change the dates.

We’ve stayed at this hotel several times, and it’s been a reliable getaway from city life. The rooms suit our standards: clean, comfortable, and well equipped. They aren’t cleaned every day, though you can request cleaning. The private sauna in the room is a lovely way to unwind on your own, and the massages are the best I’ve had in Poland. The location makes it easy to reach local attractions and a grocery store. Just be careful about a street-facing room if you’re a light sleeper. We had one once, and it was a nightmare. Breakfast was acceptable, but the variety and quality could be better. The restaurant and kitchen staff could also be more discreet. Kitchen noise was very noticeable and distracting while we ate, and a calmer dining room would improve things. Reception staff were friendly and attentive. Hopefully those points improve before our next stay. We’ll definitely be back, and I recommend the place for a relaxing visit.

We stayed one night before Christmas, hoping to see snow on our trip to Wroclaw. For the price, it felt like a night in luxury, with a huge room and a sauna. The front desk staff were very friendly, and breakfast was nice too. We’d happily stay again and would definitely recommend it.

My partner and I chose this hotel for a nice trip to Szklarsa Poręba after seeing its good reviews, but I was very disappointed. The room looked nice, yet the walls between guest rooms were so thin that we could hear absolutely everything from other rooms. We were woken at 7 AM every day by kids having tantrums in a room that wasn’t even close to ours. You couldn’t hear my partner in the bathroom from the living room, which made the noise coming through from other guests even harder to understand. The wifi was awful. I tried working from the room, but tabs lagged and meetings were extremely poor quality, which never happens at home. I know many people use the internet, but the hotel needs a faster connection. Even opening a website could take about a minute. The shower temperature also changed suddenly when I hadn’t touched the knob, which might be fine if you like cold showers, but many people don’t. We stayed seven days and the room was cleaned only once. There should be a “clean my room” sign, since the only one I saw was the pet sign. Staff didn’t seem to care about guests’ things. There weren’t many basic items like plates or cutlery, and towels weren’t changed. The parking lot was tiny and hard to get to, and they don’t tell you it costs 40pln/day. I was already paying for the room and other things, so that was ridiculous. Hotel workers parked right behind my car several times, blocking me in. I had to go inside, find the person, and ask them to move it. Breakfast was okay but nothing special, and the eating area was so cramped you could barely get to your table. People got in your way while serving food because there wasn’t enough room. I expected much better service from such a highly rated hotel. I’ll never come back.
