We went for NYE, and they’d arranged a full program with a live performance and a separate area for dancing and louder music. The food was great, both from the buffet and à la carte, and it was fresh and flavorful. The room was clean, and the place was quiet, which really matters when you’re trying to rest. There was also a kids play room with an attendant, which was great for our friends, who had their 2 year old with them. We had a great experience. It would’ve been nice to have snow too, but that wasn’t something they could control.

The room looked nice and modern, and the food was good, with plenty of it. The dinner buffet was a bit expensive and quite small for the number of people there, so you had to squeeze through, but it was tasty. The hotel was fine, though it didn’t really stand out. Parking was paid and a little tricky, since there aren’t many spaces and we might not have found one if we’d arrived later. It felt more like a better 3-star hotel than a 4-star one. There were small things missing, like cotton pads, a toothpick, and a brush. The walls were thin, so we could hear a lot, and the outdoor tiles hadn’t been grouted yet. There was no daily cleaning, no DND sign, no phone for reception, no manual, and no information about anything. Maybe there was a QR code hidden somewhere, but I didn’t find one. Staff were friendly, but gave little information and didn’t speak English well enough. I managed with a bit of Polish and English, but it could definitely have been better. Nothing terrible, but I can imagine a better stay.

The pool bar seems designed to look good in photos, but there was nobody working there. I saw irritated guests waving to the lone barman for an hour. When he finally came over, he said he had to look after the restaurant, and anyone at the pool bar who wanted a drink had to join the endless queue in the lobby. People in bathrobes were waiting there too, often just to buy one drink. He was quick only when it came to setting the table for dinner and bringing the bill. The restaurant was clearly his priority, while everyone else waited forever. The facilities had problems too. The outdoor pool ladder was completely broken, the jacuzzis were right beside the road, the dry sauna was only 90 degrees, the steam sauna closed at 9 even though the area was open until 11, and the infrared sauna had no door at all. The hotel is new and has very nice apartments, but staying there was a joke for a 4-star hotel. If you want to enjoy your time without being irritated by poor service and cost-cutting, I’d choose another place. The property has potential, but management seems focused on taking your money while putting in as little effort and service as possible. The staff weren’t helpful or caring about guests. It was the worst service I’ve experienced in a 4-star hotel.

The breakfast had a great variety and was delicious, and the view was breathtaking. We had a perfect stay at Zloty Horyzont. The staff were incredibly welcoming, the rooms spotless, and the atmosphere was amazing. Every detail was thoughtfully taken care of, making it a truly unforgettable experience. We’d love to come back and highly recommend the hotel to anyone looking for a wonderful stay.
