We could keep our bicycles in the garden, and there's a pergola where you can sit outside. The separate kitchen was a real help, and the little honesty bar had beer or a carton of milk for 1 euro, handy since the nearest shop isn't very close. There are three double rooms, each with its own bathroom off the corridor. The rooms were clean, the shower had good pressure, and nights were quiet. English and German are spoken. Good value for a place in a large town.

That outdoor gazebo was a pleasant spot to sit, have breakfast, or just get some air, and the host was warm and helpful. I stayed in room 1, in a very quiet location away from the city's bustle. The downsides were hard to miss: it was a semi-basement room with a damp smell that never went away, and the bathroom was reached through a shared hallway, so privacy was limited. The room also needs renovation and freshening up.

We picked this place partly for its light retro feel. The rooms and bathrooms, along with the rest of the property, were clean, and the birdsong in the very quiet early mornings was lovely. Each room has its own bathroom, though you have to go along a shared corridor to reach it. When the weather's warm, sitting in the garden is nice. One small downside is that all the rooms share one kitchen, so meal times can overlap with other guests.

The price is reasonable, depending on what you're looking for, and the beds were comfortable. There is a small private parking area, and the directions were excellent. The owners were very kind. The three rooms are on the lower ground floor, though, and I could smell mold as soon as I went in, so I couldn't give it five stars. Bathrooms are private but outside the rooms, and there isn't a fridge in the room.

The shared kitchen worked out fine, and having a separate bathroom for each room that can be locked is a big plus. The owners were friendly, and the place was cozy and tidy. Fall and winter can get really cold, but the rooms and bathrooms have powerful heaters. The nightly rate is reasonable. I'd recommend it for sure. 🥰
