Twierdza Toru N Fort Iv

It’s a real fort, and that’s what makes the stay so much fun if you’re up for it. I loved this very unusual place. It’s quiet, and you can explore a little, carefully. They run guided tours several times a day for a small fee, under 20 pln. Breakfast was great, and on a nice day you can grab a beer from the shop at reception and sit outside. It’s somewhat remote, but the fort itself is magnificent. Getting a taxi when I left was easy. A great place.

There’s a lot of military history here, and it’s a great attraction for everyone. You can arrange extra activities inside the Fortress for children and adults. I’d recommend staying too, since the rooms are surprisingly good quality. They can also host large groups in military-style accommodation for 23 people. Very recommended.

Rooms are just what you’d expect in a fortress built for soldiers. It’s a very atmospheric place, and the location gets five stars if you have a car. On Fridays and Saturdays there’s a 90 minute tour of the fortress with a very knowledgeable guide. A must have experience.

The morning walk around the fort was the highlight for me. I had a great time exploring, though my wife and daughter would have liked clearer signs. I thought the lack of signposting added to the adventure. Staying here means staying in a fort, so it’s a good fit if you like history or a bit of adventure, while anyone looking for luxury and pampering should look elsewhere. Our room was small, clean, and comfortable, but the walls were thin and we heard a lot of noise from a party that evening. There’s a shared kitchen, though it was quite a walk from our room just to boil a kettle. The staff were friendly and helpful, parking was free on site, and the stay was a great price. Breakfast seemed a bit expensive by comparison, and while there was plenty, the choice was limited.
