The bathroom gives off a terrible smell whenever someone showers, and it has to be aired out all day. The toilet’s water dispenser makes an awful noise when flushed. It’s a struggle even to use it. The radiators were cold at night and extremely warm in the daytime, when the heat wasn’t needed. Other guests were incredibly loud, acting as if they’d rented the whole floor, and dogs ran around without supervision. I wouldn’t stay here again or recommend it to quiet people. On my first visit, the owner wasn’t very responsive. Although she knew I’d bring my cat, we were put on the same floor as barking dogs. We couldn’t even get from our room to the kitchen. The second time, the beds weren’t pushed together as there were supposed to be, and there was lots of dust under them and cobwebs. Overall, it was a disaster.

The kitchen has disposable plastic cutlery mixed in with the equipment, and the fridge door is falling apart and looks ready to come off. The toilet is just like in the picture, sitting on a piece of rubber mat, and it makes a terrible, almost frightening noise. The whole place feels sloppy and smells unpleasant. It seems the owners only care about making money. The building is old, and despite Mrs. Ela’s efforts, it’s a mess with damage and old equipment. The owner hid its condition and the fact that it’s a workers’ hostel. I don’t recommend it.

The area is quiet and well connected, and sometimes you can hear birds singing. Those are the positives. The owner accused us of knocking plaster off in the stairwell without any reason. He was carrying our luggage, and there were four other couples besides us. He also asked for 15 PLN to pick us up at Wałbrzych Miasto station, even though taxi drivers charge less. That was despite his wife’s message saying, “My husband will pick you up from the Wałbrzych Miasto station for free.” The fridge smells unbelievably bad, and the bathroom isn’t right, despite looking fairly nice. The toilet flushes like a tractor. Even hearing the neighbors flush is disturbing. After I posted a similar, much shorter comment, Mrs. Wanda called and accused me of not telling the cleaning lady that I disliked the fridge smell. That’s an idiotic accusation. I didn’t pay them to look after their business. Thanks for reading this not-so-short list. I hope it effectively discourages you from booking with “Wanda.” Best regards.

After getting to know the apartment, a lot of problems became clear. The bedding was old and worn, with darned sheets, damaged tiles, and a cracked bathroom floor that smelled of rot and mildew. The toilet was a nightmare, especially at night. After four nights, the response wasn’t the same. The fridge door was falling off and had to be propped up with a chair, and the plastic cutlery was reusable. There was no parking, despite it being listed on the card. They also threatened fines for lost keys, failure to sort waste, and toilet service up to 400 PLN. Mrs. Ela can’t do much; the owner needs to spend money on the place. For these conditions, the price is too high. I don’t recommend it. The owner never even called to ask how our stay was. Mrs. Wanda has trouble telling the truth. The conditions were like a workers’ hostel, but the lady didn’t mention that or show up. She told Mrs. Ela to collect the money. We’d booked two rooms and one bathroom, expecting the place to be empty from Friday, but a family with four children arrived that evening. The room was changed several times, and there was also another apartment outside the city. When asked which we wanted, we said we’d choose this one because it was our first time there. Nothing was said about the hostel-like conditions. We just wanted a pleasant stay. The booking photos were from another property. I’ve learned to ask more questions and research better next time. Best regards.
