Airport Apartment Kings Bed By 404 Rooms

The owner contacted me afterward to say the apartment was closed for disinfection and returned what I’d paid for the room. The place itself was awful: it’s an apartment with four rooms, not a hotel, and there’s no sound insulation. Room 4 was tiny and very dirty, and there were bedbugs in the bed. I got bitten on the exposed parts even though I slept in trousers and a hoodie.

We were two people but were given just one towel. My girlfriend texted the owner about it and never got a reply. We were in room 3, first door on the left in block 19. The bigger problem was bedbugs. The next day I had loads of large bites on my back, hands, and legs. I can't say whether the other rooms had them, but ours did. Thankfully, they didn't get into our luggage, so we didn't bring them home. This has nothing to do with cleanliness, whatever the reply suggests. Either the mattress has bedbugs or it doesn't. Taking a thousand showers won't get them out of a mattress. I wouldn't sleep here. Getting bitten is awful, and bringing them home or spreading them around would be even worse.

I was hoping to get seven hours of sleep, but managed only about an hour and a half because of the noise and lights being switched on and off. There are four rooms in one apartment sharing a bathroom, and people come and go whenever they like. The floors and doors squeak, too. Don't stay here if you want a decent night's sleep.

The room itself was just a bed, neither good nor bad, and the average price seemed to match what we got. We stayed one night and left. Finding the room was easy because the directions were clear.
