Downtown Apartments

The bathroom was very unclean, the shower was broken, and no one seemed to care. There were only two showers and two toilets for everyone, with a toilet and shower together in one room. My room had no bin, either. Communication with the owner was really poor: we didn’t get the code before check-in or even afterward. Having to talk to a machine drove me mad, and it took about seven calls before I got through. For anyone trying to call, use the second number on the sign.

The room was filthy, with dirty plates, visibly unclean bedsheets, and a fridge that hadn’t been maintained. There was no soap in the bathroom, and I found a centipede in there. Chewing gum had been stuffed into the door lock. It was also a struggle to get our booking confirmed. I wouldn’t recommend this place even at its low price.

There were no light bulbs in the room, which we only discovered in the morning when we could see. We’d arrived a little after 9pm with no light, called the “reception” to get it fixed, and they mumbled a few words before hanging up. Someone later texted from another number asking for a photo. We sent it, but nothing was done. We stayed because it was late, but the whole place smelled of wastewater and the hygiene seemed poor. I wouldn’t recommend it. A host who treats guests like this doesn’t deserve to have any.

The room looked much smaller and worse than the photos, and the double bed turned out to be a futon where two people could barely fit. There’s a picture with an IKEA table for scale. It was dirty, and we weren’t given towels. I called the helpline, but they still didn’t get towels to us the next day. The entry code they sent didn’t work, so I spent 20 minutes calling customer service. That can get expensive without a roaming deal. I’d never stay here again.
