Room 223 had a working entry code, a balcony, and an A/C unit and fridge that both worked. The rest of the apartment was in rough shape. The shower door wouldn’t close properly, and I had to take off its plastic seal clip to shower without flooding the floor. I put it back before checkout. The toilet was positioned so awkwardly that using it meant you couldn’t use the sink and mirror comfortably. The bathroom counter seals were badly done, the outlet was pulling out of the wall, and loose screws had been left on the floor after the shower door support was installed wrong. The tile around the exhaust fan was poorly fitted and moldy. There was no liquid soap when we arrived, just two hotel-size body washes and one small bar, which wasn’t enough. There were cracks in several walls, the curtains wouldn’t close all the way because they were badly fitted or broken and taped up, and the kitchen outlet was black in the photo. The bigger problem was the washing machine and the response we got. I’d booked this place mainly because it had a washer. On the first night of our three-night stay, we started a full load. Within ten minutes, foul-smelling water came out of the dishwasher and onto the floor, so we stopped the laundry. I emailed the contact they provided on Aug 12. They replied the next day at 10:58 AM asking for my reservation number, but I didn’t see that message until 19:00 because we had no WiFi while sightseeing. I sent the booking receipt right away. After hearing nothing else, I emailed again on Aug 14, saying they were lucky there hadn’t been water damage. Checkout was Aug 15. I finally got a reply on August 19 saying they needed the reservation number because they had around 600 apartments and different washing machines. I wrote back that they must be joking. A superior then apologized, said they needed the number to send a technician, and explained that they had a lot of messages and sometimes struggled to answer quickly. They suggested calling, said they were available 8-21 every day, and offered 10% off a future stay as compensation. My reply raised the main issues: I won’t stay with a place run by "bookinghost" again, and I’ll tell others the same. My name was in the first email, so why couldn’t they find my reservation? If they’re available 8-21, why were replies so delayed? Not everyone can call. Data-only plans are common for travelers, and email was the contact method they provided. I’m sure they’d have found my name and charged me for damage quickly if we’d left and returned to a flooded apartment. Don’t contact me again unless it’s to compensate us for the time and money we spent finishing the laundry at a laundromat instead of in the apartment we rented mainly for that reason. During our stay, the only way we found to drain the water that collected in the dishwasher was to open it whenever we passed and switch it off and on again. If you stay here, remember to do that. Given the rest of the apartment, the plumbing may have been installed just as poorly.

The room was really clean and comfortable, and the workers were very nice. It’s close to the centrum.

The room was spotless, and getting around from this place was easy. I liked it a lot.
