The owner does the cooking herself, together with her husband, and they're such hospitable people that you feel at home. Everything is made fresh, including lunch, just like Mom used to cook: soup first, then a really delicious main course. The Polish food is fantastic.

We brought a small group of teenagers and children here for a sports club camp, and everyone left happy. The staff were friendly, available, and flexible about things like arrival and mealtimes. The food was excellent, even the kids said so, which says a lot. It's near trails such as Stożek and the bench on Krzakoska Skała, and there's a shop close by. The rooms were clean, though not perfectly equipped since there was no kettle. Whenever we ran into an issue, the staff helped us out. For the price, the quality was excellent.

This review is about three or four months late, and I could write a lot, so here's what happened during my stay. One night, someone knocked on the door at 2 a.m. I was in a ground-floor room, and once someone came to the window and shone a flashlight inside. Each morning the window was fogged up, but only one of the three windows, which felt odd. At 3 a.m. one day, an older man was shouting insults at the campers, who I guess were football players, and it nearly turned into a fight. The shouting woke me. The camp manager was constantly yelling orders, and the same manager told me to do push-ups. His assistant also did his morning workout around 6 a.m., waking me up too. I'm a very light sleeper. After dinner one evening, the fire alarm went off and I had to evacuate. It turned out to be a false alarm, apparently someone was playing a joke, which wasn't funny :/. The manager was arguing with the children, and only me and two other people evacuated. During a storm, a boy ran around shirtless with a flashlight and stopwatch, which was a pretty strange sight. There were problems in my bathroom too. A pipe had probably burst and yellow water was leaking; the shower drain was clogged, though that was later fixed. The food was a bit strange. A sanitary inspector also came and searched the room. Some kids in the hallway told me they had a one-way mirror in their room. Then some "expert" came to check whether I had one too. A strange light on my TV kept me awake, and the kids said it was a camera, which was disturbing. The TV itself was very poor quality, with no basic channels. One elderly man, a director of one of the camps, asked me to fix his TV because he said it wasn't working. When I went to his room, he was lying on the bed in his underwear and jacket. I got it working, but the next day he barged into my room, saying there was some kind of countdown on the TV and I had to fix it or a bomb would explode. After I fixed it, he told me and a friend to open some beers. His room was very cold, colder than outside.

The rooms were clean, and there's a barbecue area. Breakfast was delicious, and so were the homemade dinners, cooked with passion, just like Mrs. Gessler's. The cook also made fresh compote and lovely cake. Coffee and tea were available any time. Most of all, the staff were warm, energetic, extremely friendly, and helpful. They take wonderful care of guests. We just got back from Wisła, very pleased with our stay at this five-star guesthouse. We highly recommend it. Thank you! "Babiniec" from Kleczew
