Dizzy Daisy Hostel Wroclaw

I was given Room 91, right beside the women's bathroom. The walls were so thin that all night I could hear people urinating, flushing, using water, talking, and slamming the door. I couldn't sleep. At 04:40 I told the front desk, but got no help or solution. By 06:00 I'd left with all my bags and nowhere to go, and ended up sleeping on a bench until I could check in somewhere else. The room was also much smaller than it looked in the photos. I complained through Booking.com, but the hostel claimed I hadn't reported it in time, even though staff had acknowledged it on site. Their response felt manipulative and dismissive, with no accountability. They deflected the problems instead of taking responsibility for a setup that failed me and violated the privacy of the women using that bathroom. They also refused my refund of around €68. Disgusting behavior. Avoid this place. Update: These are screenshots of how the room was presented when I booked and what it actually looked like. They changed it after I put significant pressure on them through Booking.com, which has hidden my review from the public.

It's a pretty basic former student dorm, okay for a night, though the shared shower smelled bad. For some reason, card payment wasn't available. I paid in euros and got change in zloty at an exchange rate of 1:2.75, while the bank rate was 1:4.45.

We had a nice one-night leisure stay. The hostel is part of a college dormitory, with rooms that are big enough and well equipped. The bathrooms are shared, and the room cleaning was good enough. Reception staff were helpful and free WiFi was available. It's well connected to the city center by tram, and we were satisfied with our stay.

We got a clean room and bathroom, and the place was affordable and close enough to the town centre. Reception was fine, and she spoke English better than we did :) It was good value, so I’d stay again. I can recommend it.
