Hostel "Night o'clock" - restauracja, parking i darmowa siłownia

We only read the reviews after our stay, so it seems we got lucky. We booked the room whose name was something like Edy, on the second-highest floor, with a small terrace, through Air BnB. Instructions came clearly through the app, and collecting the key was easy, just a five-minute walk away. The man at reception was very friendly. There was plenty of free parking nearby, so we didn’t need to use the paid option offered by the property. The area felt eerie, with lots of abandoned buildings. The person at reception said it used to be a Soviet military base and has protected historical status, so the buildings can be restored but not demolished. Some, including this one, have been fixed up, while many others are still close to collapsing. That explains the odd atmosphere. Our room was great and perfectly clean. It had a large bed downstairs and another large bed in the loft, plus a nice terrace, a clean shower, and a basic but good kitchen. The bathroom, kitchen, and shower were all private, not shared with other rooms. WiFi was very decent too. It got really hot inside at the end of July, and a fan would have helped. We opened all the windows, which let in a fresh breeze and cooled things down a bit. The cleaning staff in the building didn’t even say hello back when we greeted them, but that was something we could live with. There’s a police station next door, and the officers liked to show off the sirens on their cars, so there was constant beeping in the evenings. Luckily it stopped at night. There were also some street races behind the station overnight, though they weren’t too bothersome. An okay Netto supermarket is right next door for breakfast, and it’s definitely cheaper than the optional breakfast for 39 PLN. If you can get the Edy-something room with the loft, you should be fine. Good value for money. With any other room, it looks like you might be in for a treat.
