Hotel Alpex View

The room and bed were dirty, and the bathroom faucet was covered in scale. It looked awful, as if it had never been cleaned. The restaurant and corridor were cold, with no heating, and the thin room walls let every noise through. I told reception about the problems on the day we arrived, but the house was full, so they couldn't move us. At checkout I said I didn't want to pay the full amount given what had happened. The receptionist was kind and willing to try to sort it out, but the manager wasn't. He didn't come out of his room; we had to communicate through her. First he said I hadn't reported the issues. I had, and it's not my fault if reception didn't pass them on to management. I don't think I should have to come down and report the same problems every day. Then the manager told the receptionist that because I booked through booking.com, I should contact them. He said they'd already paid the price and couldn't give a discount. After that, he left the poor woman to deal with the problem alone. I find that behavior outrageous.
