Bachleda Hotel Kasprowy****

The location is great, and it’s a good place to ski with the kids. The staff were great, the food was excellent, and having a carwash at the hotel was a nice bonus. The downside was the cheap beds and old mattresses, and the hotel could use a small design refresh. We also had a great experience with the ski school, probably connected to the hotel, by the shorter cabin lift. Our son had never skied before and started at the beginning of the season. We were lucky to get Vadim for his lessons. After two days of two-hour sessions, he was skiing really well. Vadim took great care of him and was a wonderful teacher. Thank you!

The kids club was amazing, and the staff there were super friendly. Breakfast was also done very well, and I loved the Grand Kasprowy restaurant, its food, and its top-class staff. The spa relax zone was lovely, though two jacuzzis were out of service. What brought my rating down was the beds, which were uncomfortable, including the twin beds for a couple, and the lobby or bar food. The chicken soup was basically chicken stock cube dissolved in water with a few noodles, and calling it traditional soup felt disrespectful. The nachos were an open bag put on a plate for 50zl. Come on, people come from all over the world, but this isn’t something to serve. The Grand Kasprowy restaurant is rather pricey for every night, so then you’re left with the lobby or bar. Before you book, check whether there’s a table in the lobby where you can sit. It’s a beautiful hotel in a fabulous location. Please sort out the bar food and the beds.

The spa was probably the best I’ve ever been to, and the food in the restaurants was absolutely amazing. It’s a great hotel for families with small kids. The play area keeps them busy for a while, but it’s small enough that parents can relax with a cup of coffee. The rooms are nice too. From outside, though, the hotel looks like it could use some renovation.

We had a great family stay with two adults, a 3-year-old and a 1-year-old. We booked directly with the hotel for the winter escape package, which included breakfast and dinner buffets and access to all the hotel facilities in the price. The food and hotel were faultless for us, and everything about the stay was great. We’d read some negative reviews beforehand, but honestly couldn’t see a problem with the food, lifts, rooms or hotel. The hotel arranged our airport transfers. They were a bit expensive, but well worth it for a stress-free start to the holiday. Construction out front only affected the look on arrival and didn’t otherwise affect our stay.
