The design and setting are spectacular, but I’m starting to doubt Michelin’s new Key system for hotels. I’ve followed its restaurant star ratings for a long time, and this isn’t the first hotel where I’ve disagreed with the Key rating. It may be my last stay at a Key rated hotel until their hotel system is on par with their restaurant ratings. Nothing here was specifically bad, but the two Key rating feels out of step with what the hotel offers, as if too much weight went to the beautiful design. Service and experience are what make a hotel appealing, and this stay was perfectly fine, but it lacked the family feeling or familiarity that I associate with a hotel at the global level implied by two Michelin Keys. The front desk staff were polite and friendly, smiling, but didn’t do more than that. They offered no help or initiative with conversation or planning. The restaurant is closed most of the week, and since you’re inside a national park there are no other dinner options. That should be clearly explained, with backup plans for getting dinner, perhaps special arrangements with restaurants in town. Instead, the front desk mentioned it casually, as a “by the way.” We had to ask for advice on how not to go hungry, and it felt like pulling teeth. Only after we specifically asked did they put together a list of places in town. At checkout, I had to remind them that I still owed my balance. I don’t know if it was meant to be paid at check-in, because the woman gave me a form to fill out and never came back to collect it or explain what to do next. There was no communication before arrival either. I agree with other reviewers that booking through booking.com is better than booking direct, as I did. It’s a lovely place in a beautiful setting, but it isn’t quite ready for two Michelin Keys.

We loved our weekend here. Breakfast was perfect, the rooms were cozy, and the spa was small but really nice. The staff were very welcoming, and we enjoyed the weekend morning yoga sessions so much. The surroundings are beautiful, with many trails starting right at the hotel. If you plan to ski during high season, book the skipass/gondola ticket ahead of time. It was sold out on Saturday.

I usually try not to judge hotels, but this one really is amazing. The food was perfect, and so was everything else. The staff were super professional and helpful, especially Kaja, Aga, the restaurant manager, and the gentlemen who picked us up, dropped us off, and brought us back.

The location suited us perfectly: forest and mountain views, a quiet setting away from busy Zakopane, and the bus stop only a short walk downhill. We also found the hydroelectric plant's sound soothing, more like white noise, and slept very well. At EnHotel, our room, agreed price, and private parking fee all matched what had been explained. We got the directions by email and WhatsApp, could ask whenever we needed help, and the driver brought us and our bags by shuttle. The room had air conditioning with a ventilation setting and windows facing nature. It was fresh and clean, with lovely-smelling bedding. We saw no cameras; someone may have mistaken a smoke detector for one. The restaurant food was fresh and carefully cooked, so food poisoning sounded very unlikely to us. It’s unfortunate that staff have to deal with claims like that. We really enjoyed the restaurant. We’ve stayed at boutique hotels in the Czech Republic and Austria, and the food here stood out. Breakfast had a generous buffet, plus eggs, oatmeal, and freshly made sausages on request. Lunch and dinner felt like fine dining. Dishes are made fresh, so there can be a bit of a wait, though drinks and the first course arrived quickly and the gaps between courses felt right. If you want fast food, this isn’t the place. The included tip seemed fair for the quality, and lunch was available without any problem. We loved the calm mountain retreat atmosphere. Being served by the receptionist or chef only made it feel more welcoming and homey. We’ll gladly come back.

The mountains, rooms, food, and staff all made our November stay feel like a real escape from everything. There’s something special about this place, and we’d love to return.
