Grand Hotel Stamary Wellness & Spa

I loved the history of Grand Stamary. In the early 1900s, prominent Polish writers, doctors, scientists, and other elites came to this mansion to relax, focus on their health, or receive important medical treatment. I even looked up what the old advert's rate of 3 crowns a day would have cost back then. It wasn't cheap, but it wasn't out of reach either. That sense of value still comes through today, especially for an American like me. A stay at a beautiful 5-star hotel with this history would be absolutely unaffordable in my country. The old advertisement called it HOTEL STAMARY, newly opened on Marszałkowska Street and open all year. It described a solid brick, first-class building with central heating, bathrooms, running water, a park, and a splendid view of the Tatra Mountains. Rooms with lighting, heating, and service started at 3 crowns per day, and it promised excellent, refined cuisine. The best part of the evenings was relaxing with my girlfriend in the lounge, having a drink and talking. It felt like we had a huge home of our own, and those couches were incredible. The Christmas decorations and tree were beautiful. Everyone we met, from reception to the bar and spa, was friendly and helpful. The hotel has the nicest rooms, a wonderful spa, a gorgeous pool and jacuzzi area, plus a sauna and steam room. We also had a couples massage at a reasonable rate. It was romantic, cozy, and comfortable, and the breakfast had everything we wanted, from eggs and other proteins to meats, cheeses, potatoes, and sweets. The espresso machines were great too. Grand Stamary will always mean a lot to me. I made memories here with someone special and hope to come back as soon as I can. Be proud of this place, and be proud of Poland!
