Skalny

The wellness area was perfect, and the staff were really nice. We asked for a room for three and a balcony, but got a one-bed room without a balcony, with a very hard pull-out sofa bed. The walls are thin, and things in the room seemed to be falling apart. The connectors were in terrible spots and coming out of the wall. Sometimes the hot water stopped, though it would come back.

The main problem was the female manager, who was discourteous and unprofessional with my driver, my guide and me. When I asked for takeaway coffee with my breakfast box, she said I had to pay, even though it was included in the rate, or could at least have been explained politely. Other staff were friendly and helpful, but her behavior defined the stay for me. I wouldn’t choose this hotel again. It’s a three-star place, and I expected a basic level of hospitality. The hotel itself is pleasant, in a generally quiet area about a 30-minute walk from downtown. Still, the walls are very thin, so sound carries between rooms. Noisy guests on my floor seriously disrupted my rest.

After a terrible experience at another place, we felt welcome here. The receptionists and lifeguard were friendly and spoke English. Viktoria and Marcin patiently answered our questions and helped us make a good plan to save the rest of our vacation. The room was great. We’ll visit again.

The food was great, with loads to choose from, and the staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Absolutely amazing hotel. Highly recommend!
