Sośnica Resort & SPA

The location and spa were the only real positives for our group. We rented several apartments at Sośnica, and the stay was disappointing. The place seemed to still be under construction, with daytime noise around the hotel, cheaply made furniture and appliances, and a feel that wasn't at all like a proper resort. There were practical problems in the units: our kitchen faucet leaked, the bathroom fan didn't work, the toilet handle broke, and the vacuum was broken from day one. The sofa bed was directly under the air conditioner, so it was impossible to sleep there. Another apartment had no wardrobe or storage, and one looked onto a parking lot and garbage bins. Shower water drained badly in all the apartments. Even basics cost extra, including more dishwasher capsules and pool towels. The way things were handled after checkout was especially frustrating. We reported the faucet, and the technician said it just needed a rubber ring and removed a part. Later, a receptionist came in and forcefully tried to twist the faucet, saying the technician had advised it. After we left, we were accused of damaging it and the deposit was kept. They also claimed we hadn't paid the local tourist tax, although we'd paid everything up front at check-in. We gave the key to the guard at the front desk when checking out, but now they say he wasn't an official employee and that the checkout didn't count. It felt like they were shifting blame to avoid responsibility. With service and communication like this, the location and spa weren't enough for us. I wouldn't recommend it.

We stayed for three days in January, and the floors in the rooms were very cold. There were no slippers to help keep our feet warm, and the radiators stayed cold throughout the stay. We were told they switch on automatically, but they never came on.

After I checked out, they made up damage claims to keep my security deposit, even though I hadn't broken anything. The complaint email address in the contract is fake and doesn't work. It felt dishonest and completely unprofessional. Avoid this place.

The windows faced a parking lot and the garbage bins of a neighboring hotel. One of the other apartments had no wardrobe or storage, and construction noise made it hard to relax there too. All three apartments had shower drainage problems, with water not draining properly. Nothing extra was complimentary. More dishwasher capsules cost extra, as did an extra pool towel, which seemed unusual for a hotel in this price range. The faucet issue is why I'm writing. We reported it to reception early on. The technician said a sealing ring was missing, not that we'd damaged it. Later, a receptionist came into the apartment and tried to force the faucet shut on the technician's advice. I never touched it or tried to repair it. After we left, I got a message saying we'd caused mechanical damage and that the deposit would be withheld. They also said we hadn't paid the local tax, even though we'd paid everything at check-in. At checkout I handed the keys to the security guard behind reception. No one told us he couldn't accept them, but the hotel later said he wasn't an official employee and that checkout didn't count. Why have him at reception collecting keys if that's the case? This felt like poor communication and an attempt to shift responsibility onto guests after they leave. I don't like leaving negative reviews, but future guests deserve to know.
