Harenda is less than 50 meters from the house, and there’s a sauna that’s a nice place to unwind, with room for up to four people. Our room was warm, sunny, and cozy, with a private bathroom and a lovely mountain view. The host was attentive and helpful, even lending us a hair dryer when we realized we hadn’t brought one. There’s also a spacious kitchen with a dishwasher and fridge for making snacks.

We got an attic room, and both the atmosphere and views were hard to put into words. My daughter loved it. The owner was incredibly kind, too. Thanks again, and we hope to return next year to recharge.

That view is lovely, and the place itself has its charms, but getting around without a car is difficult. Zakopane's center is a 25-minute drive away. Our room didn’t match the ad, which showed the best, more spacious bathroom. The one we had was tiny, almost claustrophobic, and hard to turn around in. The owner seems to overstate the condition and appearance, so what you find may disappoint. The decor has a somewhat communist-era feel. The TV was small and awkwardly placed, the kettle and mugs were tiny, and there were so few sockets that we had to put the kettle on the radiator to boil water. The oven was broken and the sauna was off.
