Willa Chaber

I wouldn't recommend this guesthouse. The place was dirty, with dust and cobwebs, and there were no towels for guests. The pillowcases were clean but torn, the mattress was torn too, and it was uncomfortable. I’d mentioned that it was cold, but the radiators weren’t turned on until two hours after I asked. Toilet paper was sticking out, and the price felt outrageous. It seemed like no one cared about the customers. In response to the landlord: I stand by what I wrote and have phone photos as proof, with dates and times recorded. I’m not going to argue further, but I did not run away. I won’t recommend the place after that rude reply. The way you responded reflects badly on you. The other reviews I read agreed with mine, so calling my account slander is unfounded and humiliating to me and other guests.

The room, kitchenette access, and bathroom were all as described, and everything was clean and tidy. The location is handy, with everything close by, and the owners are very friendly. I’d gladly recommend Villa Haber and we’ll definitely come back.

The room smelled unpleasantly of cigarettes, even though we’d been assured smoking wasn’t allowed. That was the last straw in a room we found unusable, so we only went in, looked around, and left. We canceled and booked somewhere down the street for less money and better conditions, but our deposit wasn’t returned. We’d booked by phone and paid PLN 200 upfront. No instructions for entering the property arrived, and on the day, nobody came to the door at check-in time. The woman didn’t answer calls or messages at first. After a long wait, she called back with instructions while we stood outside with our luggage. The room was tiny and didn’t work for three adults: the double bed seemed too small for two, there was barely room in the wardrobe for two jackets, and the table only seated one. It was cold, and right under the window was a balcony for another room, with a chair where a third person could sit. That hadn’t been mentioned when we booked. I don’t recommend it; both the room and service fell short.

The owners were friendly and helpful, and the location was great. Our room was cozy and spotlessly clean. We highly recommend staying here.
