Willa Doris

Whenever my family and I visit Poland from Canada, we make a stop in Zakopane, and Willa Doris is the only place we choose to stay. It’s within walking distance of the center, and the owners are so welcoming and friendly. The house is immaculate, the rooms are beautiful and clean, and there are amazing views from every room. I can’t say enough good things about it. Highly recommend.

The owners were incredibly kind and accommodating, and shared helpful local tips. We felt safe throughout our stay. Our suite had two balconies with clear views, and the room felt welcoming and relaxing. We had a really enjoyable, comfortable visit and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to experience the beauty of Zakopane.

Villa Dora sits right at the foot of the legendary Giewont, and the views are a big part of visiting this famous mountain town in the Tatry. The place was spotless, and the owners were great guides, pointing us toward hiking trails and authentic local food and culture. It was easily our favorite stay in Poland. We loved it and hope to return someday.

We could have happily spent the whole time on one of the two balconies, just enjoying the clear view of Giewont Mountain. The studio had three beds, a private bathroom, kitchenette, flat-screen TV, and living area, so it would work well for a longer family stay too. The location is peaceful, about a 20-minute walk from Zakopane’s main tourist area, Krupowki, but still convenient to get around on foot. We booked at the last minute for a short Zakopane break because the weather was unpredictable and we wanted a chance to see the mountains. Dorota and Joe were wonderful and accommodating despite the late booking. They also gave us useful advice for exploring, including a restaurant recommendation that was delicious and reasonably priced. Our mountain-view studio had a rustic, classy design, keeping the Polish highland style while adding some modern touches. The beds and linens were soft and very comfortable. That was the most comfortable bed we had during our Europe trip, since many of the other hotels had harder mattresses. The Willa was clean and well maintained, and we had no problems during our stay.
