Willa Regina Resort & SPA

We loved our 6 nights here. The spa was the best part: it’s free for 1h/day, you need to book, and then you get the whole spa to yourself. Breakfast was delicious, generous enough, and came with very good coffee. Our room was clean and the mattress was great, so we slept well, though there was a bit of mold in one corner. We didn’t need cleaning during our stay, and if you want service you can call reception. It’s good value for the price. It’s not a 5* resort, so the service isn’t the best, but that’s absolutely fine. I don’t understand the bad reviews here.

The room was cosy and well renovated, the location was good, and we enjoyed the tasty food in the restaurant. But we had a bad experience with Willa Regina 1 Resort&Spa and wouldn’t recommend it, especially for anyone travelling with kids. We booked a particular room through booking.com, but the administrator changed our booking and gave us a different room without telling us before we arrived. We stayed 3 nights with 2 little kids and breakfast included. One day we were left without breakfast because the Administrator said we couldn’t take food to the room for the children. She walked around us with breakfast plates and said it wasn’t allowed under their rules. This was strange, since on the previous 2 mornings we had taken breakfast to the room, and booking.com also said breakfast in the room was possible. The Spa area was very dirty, especially the jacuzzi water, which looked as if it hadn’t been changed in months. There were cameras everywhere, even by the shower. Only the sauna was fine. Cleaning the apartment wasn’t included either, and cost extra. It was our first and last time there. For this money, there are better hotels with great service.

We booked for 5 nights but left early because so much was wrong. Our room was dirty, the furniture was broken and worn out, and the mattress was dirty and lumpy. It had only a regular sheet over it, and that was old and worn too, so we couldn’t sleep on it. The food was very poor at both breakfast and dinner. Those of us on half board were squeezed around just a few tables, without a reserved table, which would have been normal. Villa staff didn’t clean the room during our stay, and nobody asked if we needed anything. This villa should be avoided.

Rafal was a really friendly guy and gave us lots of information. The mountain view is amazing, the place is a little close to the city centre, and breakfast is very good. They need to pay more attention to cleaning.
