The water had a septic-tank smell, so we were given a 5-liter bottle. When we arrived, the woman assured us by phone that the issue was due to a filter change. Someone came to test the water on our checkout day. After I followed up, she was supposed to send the results to reassure me that my family hadn’t caught any infections. It’s been a month, and she hasn’t answered my calls or text messages. So what did the test show?
The beds are fairly comfortable and the window has a nice view, but we went two days without water. The woman only remembered to bring drinking water after other guests arrived. It was a nightmare. The water seemed to come from a septic tank and was a bit poisonous, so be careful with children. You only get two rolls of toilet paper. And if you want to fry something like scrambled eggs, you’ll need to buy a pan because the one provided is useless.
There was a weird smell throughout the room, and it wasn’t properly tidied up after the previous guests. I wouldn’t recommend it.
The views are stunning, there’s plenty of space, and the Wi-Fi is decent. The guesthouse is a nice place, with a barbecue and the other amenities listed on the website. During our high-season stay, surprisingly, it was completely empty. There’s always someone around, a “hostess” ready to help. It also brought back a fond memory for those who saw the farce “Boeing, Boeing.” Facilities are very basic: rooms have bathrooms and TVs, beds come with bedding and a very soft mattress, and there’s a mini-fridge. You bring the rest. The kitchenette has some dishes and tableware for simple meals, but you have to ask for cutlery. The dining spot is in the hallway and just right for four. The entrance is very steep, with two parking lots. The upper one is easier to get into, and it helps to drive up a bit and reverse toward the gate. The lower one suits slightly taller cars with a shorter wheelbase. Approach as far right as possible and aim for the center to better handle the slope. Taller cars can manage, but in a lower car you’ll have to work it out yourself. You can also drive farther up and try reversing, which is easier on the car. The entrance is from Słoneczna Street, although maps point to Kwiatowa Street. The guesthouse is the first one on the left.
The terrace view was the one good thing. The water smelled so bad that we couldn’t even brush our teeth with it. The beds creaked and sagged, and although the email said checkout was between 10 and 11 a.m., the woman made us leave our room at 10:01. For this price, I expected much better conditions and treatment.
