Rosa's Place Guesthouse

I love the island of Culebra, with its amazing beaches and so many places to explore. My family has stayed there five times without any problems anywhere before this. We caught an early ferry back to Fajardo, and before leaving we cleaned the whole 150 sq ft guest room and bathroom, restocked the fridge with extra water and beer, swept, took out the trash as instructed, and left a pizza box with it. The beds were made and the towels we'd used were hung up to dry. About two hours after we left, I got an email saying we wouldn't get our refund because the room was a complete mess and trashed. They said there was a pizza box outside and sand in the guesthouse. We had swept the night before, but of course a few grains of sand can remain after a week at the beach. Unless the chickens got in after we left, they weren't looking at the same room. We left it better than we found it. I called for details and talked back and forth with a man whose name I don't recall. Then he said, "ok fine, Ill give you your deposit back, but you have to come and get it". I was already on the ferry to Fajardo, and he had to know I couldn't turn the passenger ferry around or spend the time and money to come back for the refund. I told him to forget it, but said I felt he was taking advantage of me and my family. I was EXTREMELY disappointed. Do your research, these guys aren't honest. There are plenty of AWESOME places to stay in Culebra, THIS IS NOT ONE OF THEM!!!!!!

A comfortable guesthouse and great value. Having beach essentials provided was a huge plus. A perfect place to stay in Culebra.

The beach and supermarket were close by, and we had a wonderful stay.

We had a really good time.
