Tamarindo Estates Beach Apartments

We were glad to have an upstairs unit, since the deck had a stunning view. The downstairs places in the 100 building block don't seem to get much of a view. The private beach snorkeling was awesome, and the basic digs were very clean. The bed felt a little hard.

It was blissfully quiet, which is exactly what I wanted. There was no incessant loud music, and the pool and beach were beautiful. Our apartment had a nice kitchen and porch, with lots of space and stunning views, especially from room #101. Getting there was the hard part: the road is one of the worst I've experienced, and the place is really remote. Apparently the owner and present mayor don't get along. Rent a jeep or golf cart for the trip. Wifi worked for email, but was too spotty to rely on for movies.

When we reached the main land, I found roaches had gotten into my luggage. During our 4/2019 stay at Tamarindo Estates, there was one in the shower and another flew at my face in the bedroom. It definitely needs a roach exterminator. The scenery is beautiful and the beach is a short trip away, if you don't mind spending 150 and worrying about roaches.

The room was small, but okay. The private beach was great for snorkeling, and we could enjoy a beautiful sunset there. It's close to Flamenco beach, though the road to the property is in bad shape, so you might need to rent a jeep.
